Hold off on Harry.

Oops! Prince Harry has managed to get himself into a touch of bother again after pictures of him cavorting nude in Vegas hit the tinterweb this week. The usual uproar ensued - how very dare a Royal have a bit of fun, where were his security staff...what was he thinking?!


For the love of all things God like, give the guy a break folks!


Harry is still a young man finding his way in the world and just because he holds a title doesn't mean that he's going to be any different from any other young man finding his way and what's more, neither should he be expected to be.

 Life is for living even if you are one of a host in line to the throne. Nobody should lie on their death bed and regret not enjoying it while they had the chance to and that includes the admirable young men that Harry and William have turned out to be.

Whenever news of Harry's 'misdemeanours' hit the headlines, we all seem to forget that he didn't have the greatest start to life. Two weeks shy of his 13th birthday, Harry's mother Princess Diana was killed. Enough for any teen to cope with, however this particular death was dragged through the headlines for months, years and still even now conspiracy theories are occasionally batted about, framing everybody from Harry's father to his grandparents.

Most people who lose loved ones in a terrible accident are spared the horror of actually seeing the wreckage, but the pictures of Diana's car were splayed across every newspaper and every television channel for all to see. No matter how much Harry and William were protected they will have seen those images. Nobody could have blamed those boys if they had taken a dark road to destruction after that. It was thanks to their strength of character and the support around them that they didn't.

A few years ago Harry also went on to serve in Afghanistan, witnessing atrocities that no man should ever see. He has looked into the pits of hell and still remains a remarkable ambassador for the country. Where most people would be struggling to cope with the images replayed over and over in their minds after witnessing so much of what Harry has seen, he manages to remain fun, honourable, loving and devoted to his Grandmother The Queen (I can't help but admit that I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall in the palace after those photos emerged however - grandma seeing you naked....cringe!!!).

So what if he gets a bit carried away after a few cheeky bevvies. So what if he wants to run around with the old crown jewels out?! He's human the same as everybody else and as long as it isn't in the middle of some official affair (although I reckon it would have spiced the jubilee celebrations up no end!) then let the lad be. There's more important stuff to worry about out there than a naked (and lets face it, pretty buff) Prince!
